Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee death anniversary: PM Modi paid tributes
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid homage to former Prime Minister and one of the greatest leader of BJP Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary.
Speaking about this, Prime Minister Modi said, "As part of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Vajpayee, who devoted his entire life to the service of the country, the Sadaiva Atal (Memorial) was visited and paid tribute to".
In tributes to the former prime minister, Modi said, India benefitted greatly from Atal Ji leadership. he played a pivotal role in boosting India’s progress.
"I join the 140 crore people of India in paying homage to the remarkable Atal Ji on his Punya Tithi," he said.
One of the person responsible to bring BJP to poer and the first-ever prime minister from the party, Vajpayee is credited with popularising the party beyond its base and running a coalition government successfully for six years, during which he pushed reforms and boosted infrastructure in the country.
